24 Weeks

I am officially 24 weeks. My belly has really grown a lot in this past month. Naomi is moving all the time!!! She responds to loud noises...like when I'm in the movie theater, or listening to music in the car, or during worship at church, or when her daddy speaks to her at night (:

Christmas!

Today, Naomi got her first Christmas gifts from Akiko, Matthew, Grandma, and Grandpa. She got some really cute clothes. Thanks to all of you!!!

Also, Grandma got to feel her move for the first time today. Merry Christmas Grandma!!!

Doctor Visit

Today the doctor told us all of Naomi's body measurements were looking healthy and normal. Her heart rate is in the high 130's and she is constantly moving around. I can feel her right now as I type. Chris has been able to feel her kick the past couple of nights. It's really sweet...every night he speaks to her close to my belly and she starts kicking him like crazy. She always recognizes his loving voice. She also moves around a bunch when I watch "so you think you can dance". She takes after her daddy!

Movement

Today was the first time Chris felt Naomi kick!!! He was so freaked out. He jumped back and screamed...I don't think he was really expecting to feel her. She must be getting really strong (:

20 Weeks...HALF WAY THERE!!!

I am officially 20 weeks as of yesterday. Here are some new belly pics!!! As you can see, I have gotten much bigger since my last belly photo.

19 Week Untrasound

The baby's heart rate is still around 140 and she is starting to move around a whole lot. :)
The middle photo is her long leg kicking into my bladder...hahaha!

A GIRL!!

The result is in...The baby is a girl!!!! The popular vote won. Congrats to all you who thought the baby was going to be a girl. You win a big fat high five next time I see you!

Doctor Visit

Today, Chris and I went for our monthly baby check-up. Our doctor let us listen to the heart...It was racing at 140 beats per minute. She said everything looked healthy.

I finally gained my first 5 lbs!!! She said it was healthy to gain about 10lbs in your first 20 weeks...and then about 20 more lbs in your last 20 weeks...I wish I could have captured Chris's face when she said that. He looked frightened. It was very funny (:

Oh...and we will know if the baby is a boy or a girl the week of Thanksgiving!

Week 16

I feel like my belly is getting sooo big, but I know it's just the beginning. I have been feeling much better now. The nausea is almost completely gone and I have been feeling close to my normal self now...yipeeeee!

Halloween

So Chris and I decided to do it up this year for Halloween. Chris was Dr. Manhattan and I was Silk Spectre from Watchmen. It was so much fun!!! Luckily my belly didn't out grow my costume by Halloween.

2nd Trimester

I have officially entered into my second trimester. I can tell my belly is starting to grow faster now. It has grown so much in the past two weeks (:
I think it's gonna be a big one.

Ultrasound

Today Chris and I went to the the doctor for our routine visit and although we weren't scheduled to get an ultrasound done, we were lucky enough to get one anyway because my stomach growls kept interfering with the doctor being able to hear the baby's heart beat...hahaha!

She confirmed the heart was fine by doing the ultrasound and then printed us a bunch of pictures. She was super nice!!!

The baby kept dancing around when we were doing the ultrasound. It was hard to hold back the tears. We left very happy (:

Nesting...

My sister-in-law, Akiko, kindly let me borrow her sewing machine recently and since then I have been going to town with it. I made some baby pants for the little one. I tried to make the colors unisex, but they turned out a little bit more boyish. I figure if the baby is a girl, I can just sew on a few pink or purple buttons and no one will know the difference. (: Thank you Akiko...and thank you Boobear for being the photographer!

Chris and I decided to take pictures of my belly growing every 2 weeks starting week 10. Here are pictures of Week 10 and Week 12.

My First Post

This was our first ultrasound taken 09/14/09. Here we were between week 8 and 9. The babies heart rate was 171 beats per minute. It must have been excited to take its first picture (:
